Dax has now officially been in 10 states; Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. And he’s experienced extreme weather changes; 90 degree weather in Utah and 30 degree weather in Montana! On our way to Yellowstone, we drove through a snow storm that made national news, 12 inches of snow in the month of May. But the next day, we had perfect weather. The snow melted with the 61 degree heat wave and sunshine. Dax was able to see mountains and buffaloes today, and even touched a tree! We were at Terrace Spring and found the perfect little branch for Dax to grab on to. How cool is it to know that the first tree Dax ever touched was in the first national park of the world (Yellowstone National Park). And, the first rock Dax ever touched was at the Grand Canyon, not many people can say that!
